      When choosing a photographer to take your family portrait, it's as important as when you chose your wedding photographer. Most people think all they need to do is call around and get prices to decide who gets to take their family portrait. Most don't even meet the photographer until the day of the session These could be some big mistakes.

      I try to meet everyone prior to their photo session. Meeting everyone ahead of time, especially the children, makes a huge difference. Getting the kids to relax and look natural is very hard. They get to know me and I get to know them. Later when we do the session, everyone is more relaxed. On the day of the session, it's like we're friends instead of total strangers tying to photograph your priceless family portrait. Let us work with them on the day to create their natural, happy expressions.

      This is also the time we start planning for the session. At what location would you like to do the photographs? Would you like a studio portrait or a Location that is meaningful to you? What kind of clothing, dress or casual?

      Wow! I bet you didn't know there way so much planning that goes into doing a family portrait.       CHILDREN/SENIOR PORTRAIT

      Have you ever been to one of those production-line studios, where you walk in, sit you child down, and they start clicking the camera and hope for the best?

      I'll bet most of the time, its not a pleasant experience. We cannot compete with their prices, and I'll tell you why.

      When planning your child's photography, we like to meet them prior to the photo session. This gives us a chance to see what they are like, what their personality is like, and also what they like to do.

      Each child is different and needs to be photographed differently. With older children, we like to find out what their hobbies are, what type of clothing they like to wear and include some of their ideas in the photography. Do you want studio portraits, outdoor portraits, or a combination of both?

      As you can see, we put a lot more planning into doing your children's photography. We want the finished portrait to be a photograph of who they are, not what they look like.

      PHOTO RESTORATION

      If you have any priceless family photos that are in less than original condition and are faded or worst yet, cracked and damaged, we can restore them back to their original condition.

      With our restoration process, we scan the original photo (you get the original back, un-touched), digitally fix any damage and even replace missing sections of the photo. We then enhance the photos for you to enjoy for many more years without the worry of damaging the original any more.
